Mum & Baby Postnatal Yoga

“Susan is just an absolute babe. Me and little one attended her mum and baby yoga for months. It was so nice to take the time for a good stretch which I needed more than ever after carrying my little chunk around. It's so nice to be able to chat and get advice/tips from other mums or just have a little rant about mum life. Susan is so kind, friendly and approachable. I always look forward to yoga with Susan! I didn't do her hypnobirthing or baby massage course, or the pregnancy yoga classes but I'm so ready to sign myself up for my next pregnancy and would recommend them to anybody even though I haven't done them because I know Susan is so knowledgeable and experienced.” BC, York

“I would definitely recommend Susan’s yoga classes for both pre and postnatal yoga. Susan has such a calm and approachable manner that you feel completely at ease to approach her about any worries. The postnatal classes were a little escapism for me and my little boy each week, small classes which makes it less daunting to chat openly to other parents, whilst doing some gentle yoga stretches. I’ve made some lovely friends from those classes who I still meet up regularly with now. I will miss Susan’s yoga, but hope to continue to make her Friday socials. “Susan's class was the first class I joined after having my daughter, I was really nervous about going but Susan is fantastic at welcoming you in. The chance to have a stretch and some time out with your baby is brilliant and the connections with the other Mum's is something I relied on in the first few months and still do. Just chatting to a group who are all in the same place as you is so reassuring. Being able to chat honestly, feed and change my baby and enjoy a cup of tea on top of having a lovely strengthening stretch as fantastic. I miss the class now my cheeky girl is crawling but would reccomend it to all new Mums. No matter how tired I was I always left feeling refreshed and restored” AH

I started mum & baby yoga with Susan when my little boy was 8 weeks old and we carried on right up until he was 8 months (when I went back to work - would have carried on longer otherwise!) What a treat to have that hour each week to stretch & relax, the babies all seem to find it hilarious too watching their mummies in various yoga poses. Since I've been back at work I've been trying to get to the Slow Sunday workshops when I can, they are the most wonderful self care - you really have no idea how much tension you're carrying in your body until you make a conscious effort to relax and Susan is excellent at that. "Susan is a fantastic teacher and I love coming to the beginners' class every week. I'd never done yoga before and was pretty nervous that I wouldn't be able to do it and would make a fool of myself, however I needn't have worried. The class is very welcoming and inclusive. Susan explains everything in a really easy-to-follow way and it is really encouraged to go at your own pace.
